Background

The growing impact of migration on the world of work is testing current migration management systems. There is an emerging concern for the need to better coordinate migration and labour migration policies with those of employment, education and training. This requires cooperation between national education and labour ministries and with other ministries that have responsibility for migration policy, as well as their counterparts across borders. This online training will build and strengthen the capacities of practitioners and policymakers to design and implement labour migration policies by giving access to tools and instruments for evidence-based policymaking on labour migration, and ensuring policy coherence. The training will offer an innovative e-learning platform for open dialogue between participants from various ministries, representatives of workers' and employers' organizations and other relevant stakeholders, enabling them to build their capacity and skills in promoting policy coherence at national and regional level with regard to labour migration. This specialized course will enable you to join a virtual global network of labour migration practitioners flexibly and without needing to travel.
