Background

Held under the BRMM Programme and funded by the UK-FCDO, the event will explore the role of political leadership in promoting fair recruitment, protecting migrant workers' rights, and supporting safe migration pathways. Participants will examine key policy frameworks and practical tools to help prevent exploitation and ensure transparency in the recruitment process.

The workshop will also feature the official launch of a new Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) in Eldoret. The MRC will offer pre-departure orientation, legal advice, and support services to migrant workers and their families, acting as a key information hub in the region.

This initiative reinforces the BRMM Programme’s commitment to strengthening national and local capacity for fair labour migration management.
